FBLA Wins Highest Award
The LHS FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) was in Columbus last week for the 70th Annual State Leadership Conference. The LHS chapter of FBLA is very involved in the state level of leadership for the organization. Senior Morgan Showen served as the 2016-2017 State President and junior Omar Larios will serve as State President for the 2017-2018 term. The Lebanon chapter also received the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit, the highest award a local chapter can receive. The students stayed overnight in Columbus while attending the conference and the district recently received a wonderful email from Joel Waller of InforEducation “I wanted to send you a note to inform you of the interaction I had with some of your students this week while I was traveling to Columbus, OH. I was staying at the (hotel) where these students were staying. I was a little concerned when I saw a school bus unloading…. as more often than not this is not an indication of a restful experience. I was pleasantly surprise at the excellent behavior of your students. I spoke with a few in elevators, had a few staying next door to me in their hotel room, and sat beside several at the breakfast area. I was impressed with the behavior they exhibited, as each one was very respectful and polite. I’m sure you always hear all the bad things ….. so I wanted to let you know you can be proud of the example these students set. Keep up the good work with these students!” Congratulations LHS FBLA - not only are we proud of your accomplishments at the State Leadership Conference, we are proud of the manner in which you represented our community!
