InView testing for 2nd graders
Posted on: February 4, 2021
Hello,
The Ohio Department of Education requires districts to administer grade-level screening tests for giftedness. In Lebanon, these tests are administered in grades 2 and 5. We use the InView assessment as our screening test for superior cognitive ability, one form of giftedness in Ohio.
Your second grader is invited to participate in this screening from 9:00-11:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 4.
Here are some details:
- Mrs. Holly Mueller, Lebanon's Gifted coordinator, will be administering the test. Holly works for the Hamilton County Educational Service center now, and taught fifth grade at Berry Intermediate for years.
- Testing will take place at the District Performance Center (the old Junior High building at 160 Miller Road) More details about the location will be provided to participating families.
- We do not have an area for caregivers to wait during the test. Caregivers are welcome to wait in their cars, or leave and return at 11:00.
- Students must wear a mask while inside. Weather permitting, students will be able to step outside for a socially-distanced mask break during a testing break.
- Students will be seated 6 feet apart for testing.
- Each student work area will be sanitized before student arrival.
- Students should plan to bring these items:
- a full water bottle
- two sharpened #2 pencils
- a book to read in case they finish a test section early
If you'd like your student to participate, please complete this google form no later than Friday, February 19.
Thank you,
Mark Graler
