It's Homecoming Week!
It's Homecoming Week, and Lebanon's strong sense of hometown pride is on full display! We invite your family to join in the excitement and take part in the upcoming events:
Parade Thursday, September 19, 6:00 p.m.
The Homecoming Parade begins at Berry Intermediate School and travels through the downtown streets. This year the parade will be shorter, a decision that was made based on safety concerns the Lebanon Police Department expressed after last year's parade. Together with The Lebanon Police Department and The City of Lebanon, we are announcing changes to this year's parade in order to prioritize the safety of all participants.
-
Floats will not be permitted for student clubs or for club or youth sports younger than 6th grade
-
There will be no candy thrown
-
No walkers will be allowed
-
Parade participation will be strictly limited to include: Lebanon High School's Homecoming Court, LHS JROTC marchers, LHS marching band, LHS fall sports teams, LHS Power Puff Homecoming Game teams, Lebanon Junior High School's fall sports teams, and Berry Intermediate School's sixth grade football and cheer teams.
"Ensuring the safety of all Homecoming Parade participants is paramount," said Jeffrey Mitchell, Chief of Police. "The Homecoming Parade Safety Plan was developed in collaboration with all who share in the tradition of this event and depends on the cooperation and compliance of all involved. Our shared goal is the safety of our students and all who participate in this parade. We believe the safety and security of all is a critical part of creating treasured moments and wonderful memories."

VanDeGrift Stadium has been renovated and can now seat 1,000 more fans than before.
-
VanDeGrift Stadium has been renovated and can now seat 1,000 more fans than before. The new bleachers are equipped with handicap accessible paths, ramps, and wheelchair accessible seats.
-
Please be aware that there is very little area inside the stadium for students to run and play, so please encourage your children to sit in the bleachers to watch the game.
-
All spectators are encouraged to follow the path under the bleachers and enter from the ramps or stairs underneath. While the bleachers are finished, there is still work to be done behind the bleachers so we will have large portions of the area fenced off this season.
DESIGNATED SEATING
-
Section 1: Junior Warriors (K-6) are encouraged to sit in this section and not play under the bleachers or on the hillside. We are asking that accompanying adults sit with their young child or in Section 2 where you can monitor their behavior.
-
Sections 2-5: Adult Spectators. Other than the 100 reserved maroon seats, these sections are general admission.
-
Section 6: Whit’s Warzone Student Section will be confined to this section with LHS students in the front and LJHS students behind. Administrators will be present in front and behind the student section for supervision.
-
Sections 7: Marching Warriors will be seated in the front of this section. Any Band or Guard Parent or Volunteer that would like to sit with the band can sit behind the band and guard in this section.
STUDENT BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
If your student is planning to attend the football game, please have a conversation with them, and remind them that the student Code of Conduct remains in effect at ALL school events, including football games.
Homecoming Dance, Saturday, September 21, 8 p.m.
Lebanon High School's Homecoming Dance takes place Saturday evening. You may catch groups and couples posing at locations around town to take before-dance photos. The dance takes place at VanDeGrift Stadium on the turf if the weather cooperates, and begins at 8 p.m.
Homecoming is a special time in our community, where we come together to celebrate the traditions that make Lebanon unique. We hope you and your family will join in the fun!
