Senior Elijah (Eli) Paulman wins State Scholarship Award
Join us in congratulating Lebanon High School senior Elijah (Eli) Paulman for winning the Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award! The scholarship is given to one student in each school district in Warren County. Each scholarship winner then chooses one teacher mentor to receive recognition. Eli chose chemistry teacher Tom Hoefell. For being recognized, Mr. Hoefell received funds to be used in this classroom.
More info about this scholarship: The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award was established in 1989 by Ohio’s County Superintendents to recognize student achievement and promote academic accomplishment. To win, students must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as indicated by grades, courses taken, college placement scores, a written essay, and community activities. One senior from each of Ohio’s eighty-eight counties receives this
prestigious honor each year. The award bears the name of Dr. Franklin B. Walter, who served as State Superintendent from 1977-1991. During his tenure, Dr. Walter worked with three governors, significantly improved public education in the state, and brought Ohio's schools to the fore-front of the nation's attention.
Congratulations Eli!
