September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and this month's episode highlights the student-led club called Hope Squad. Hope Squads are school-based peer-to-peer suicide prevention programs. Hope Squads formed at both Lebanon High School and Lebanon Junior High School during the 2019-2020 school year.
In this interview with Superintendent Isaac Seevers, Hope Squad advisors Jessica Houdieshell and Josh Chasteen, together with students Randi Hill and Cash Chandler, discuss the work the Hope Squads are doing at their schools to create positive mental health awareness:

OHIO CARELINE - The Ohio CareLine, a toll-free emotional support call service created by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services: call 1-800-720-9616 to connect. Behavioral health professionals staff the CareLine 24 hours a day, 7 days/week. They offer confidential support in times of personal or family crisis when individuals may be struggling to cope with challenges in their lives. When callers need additional services, they will receive assistance and connection to local providers.
