Day 2 Update from LJHS
Good Evening,
I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your student for a wonderful first two days of school. Our students have been great to work with and they have been prepared each day. They are cooperative, resilient, and understand the importance of the expectations we have put into place to keep everyone safe.
As a staff, we continue to evaluate our procedures, observe the building from different perspectives, review camera footage, and meet as a group to discuss what went well and what we need to improve. Every day, we are making changes and adjustments to create a safer environment for our students. We will continue to do this as student and staff safety are our number one priority.
As the year progresses, please continue to conduct daily health assessments, send your student with a face covering(s), provide a water bottle, and make sure they have school supplies available to them. I cannot stress enough the importance of being overly cautious with regard to the daily health assessment. If your student exhibits any symptoms, please keep them home. Our staff will work with your student to keep them caught up if they miss school.
Again, thank you for all you have done to help us make opening LJHS possible.
